Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä (/jɒ̄g/ /vîːæ/ [pretty] [image]) is a subtropical Town located in the Gīmōthyǎvy Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä is derived from the Goblin language, as Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä was founded by Dā̌shī Cú̄ń̄nḱ 'Hex Eloise' Yoī̌sh Cāy Jóoīy Mbōkīy Cúnḱ, who was culturaly Goblin.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä has a yearly average temperature of 16°C (60°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 5°C (41°F). Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä receives an average of 303 cm/y (119 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2894 m (9494 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä was founded durring the early 12th century in summer of the year 1123, by Dā̌shī Cú̄ń̄nḱ 'Hex Eloise' Yoī̌sh Cāy Jóoīy Mbōkīy Cúnḱ. The establishment of Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of crampt baked earthen streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. The robustly designed timber walls has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A quick look in any direction shows Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this town live. Or if the general public wasn’t so enthusiastically, openly, and merrily participating in these activities.

Civic Infrastructure

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä's parks.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä's natural decorations nor waterways.

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Lēymi̋ Vêä Kēä's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields. Interiors will often have a grand stairway and opulent ballroom..
